L'Ambiance Plaza

SGH investigated the collapse and total destruction of the partially completed L'Ambiance Plaza, a 16-story residential project under construction. SGH identified four major structural deficiencies that may have triggered the collapse along with at least five other design or construction conditions that negatively impacted structural reliability. SGH's paper on the investigation of the failure of L'Ambiance Plaza received an award from the American Society of Civil Engineers and was published in the Journal of Performance of Constructed Facilities.
